About us

Irene is a college-educated, Dutch native who has been living in the United States for more than 25 years. She has been a certified English-into-Dutch translator since 2002, and specialized in subtitling and other audiovisual translations about 10 years ago.

Irene has been a member of the American Translators Association since 2001 and has been involved with the Dutch Language Division since its inception in 2016, serving as forum coordinator and Administrator. She currently serves as the DLD blog coordinator.

In her spare time, Irene volunteers for international non-profit organization Kiva as editor and French translator.
